      :x :x :x

They never take it anywhere and leave it at home to bark and bark and bark and bark...

...ooooh you don't know how much I am looking forward to having a baby to have a screaming fit (fits!) in the middle of the night so they can hear how thin the walls are!

oh, God... that must be awful...

I don't know what my neighbour was thinking the other night when he started doing some DIY work and banging on the wall with a hammer at 2 o'clock in the morning. He lives one floor up. :x :x :x

I don't know how a dog can bark so much! It must have a really sore throat!!! :rotfl:

oh god that would drive me mad. kill it

The neighbour actually asked us if we could hear them through the walls and we said that we could hear the dog barking when they were out! She said "I know, he's a pain!!!" and that if it was any consolation, he was 16 yrs old!!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I agree!! My dog is exactly the same! I do apologise on her behalf though because we live in a big block of flats. We have tried training her so many times and she just doesn't learn. She was beaten by a previous owner though so when we tell her off she thinks she's going to get hurt. When we have men round visiting especially she tends to piddle in the corner! Poor thing!

my dad has a greyhound and he has seperation anxiety so will wine (very loudly sometimes) if no-one is in the house
and they cant take him out because he was attacked by some dogs before so is terrified now
so i can understand a little bit with your neighbour some dogs are just like that
but i do understand how annoying it can be aswell
manda xx

I would contact the RSPCA
NO dog should be left for more than 4 hours at a time, That is neglect and the dog deserves to be with someone who can give it the time is deserves.

I'm surprised that you are allowed to have a dog in a flat! Dogs are not allowed to be kept in flats near by us.

Thats awful. Our dog is crated and she doesn't make a sound all day

Complain to the council. Its noise pollution if it is disrupting you.

depends on the flat. if it is a flat with decent direct access to a suitable outside space (i.e garden big enough) then yes. i dont see why poeple cant have a dog in a flat.

ive got a dog, and live in a basement flat. it has a rear and front garden.

if it is your typical block of flats with no garden, then i agree, they shouldnt have a dog.

definately seek advice from the rspca, because as said, a dog should not be left alone all day.

dont know what to suggest about the barking, i know it can be very annoying.

my dog was the same.. our neighbour complained daily... we got a behaviorist in ... that helped a little..... but then we got an anti barking machine.. this seems to have worked.. maybe suggest this to your neighbour.....

I think it's too geriatric to do anything with! lol! 16 yrs is a good age for a dog isn't it!

yes 16 is good.... also we now give our doggie a kong filled with chicken.. keeps him entertained for a while trying to get the chicken out.;

16 is even more of a reason not to leave it at home alone, it will need frequent trips out side for a wee. it is probably lonely, and possibly becoming slightly senile which doesnt help.
