A good friend of mine is going in for a heart op next week (on my son's birthday of all days). I'm so worried about him and can't stop thinking about it so god knows how he's feeling. He's having a valve replaced. He has a laugh and a joke about it but I think he's just putting a brave face on it all. I saw my mil after her heart op and it wasn't exactly nice! He's only 25 as well, poor lad! Just fingers crossed it all goes well

My mum had that done a few years ago and she is absolutely fine now!! She had the choice of having an electronic valve or a pigs one - she went for the pig!

Although it is not a nice operation and he will be sore afterwards, he will recover so don't you worry about a thing xxx
