 sorry about this but if anyone has had this please tell me it gets better!!

Over the past week after getting up from a sitting position my clitoris starts to ache and it feels like I have lots of pressure there when I stand up, has anyone else had this after childbirth? I had a hard pushing stage so could it be because f that? I hope the nerves arnt damaged, I wouldnt like to put up with this for much longer

I have been doing my pelvic floor excersises each day and my bits look normal again, its just this acheing I don't undertsand whats happening :(

I spoke to my midwife and she said its proberly just everything going back. I hope so
Thanks :(

Hi babes, have no advice whatsoever cos I obviously havent been there and done it yet but heres hoping your mary gets back to its good old self soon hun, its been through a massive ordeal so dont panic, im sure its normal!!

Hey Tasha,
Its totally normal and 2-3 weeks after the birth it all goes away. I know this sounds awful but when i had my eldest i was cut and she scratched me on the way out and it feels like all your bits are hanging out!!!! I found it easier to pee in the shower whilst hosing myself down!! Or putting a shower head on cold "down there". Hope you feel better soon xx

:) FEW !!! Thank you all for reassuring me  I was panicking thinking I wouldnt ever get any satifaction without feeling like my bits were going to fall out

Im so happy thanks :cheer:

I was sore for about 4 weeks and occasionally my clitoris still throbs now. I was worried at first but It seems to be normal listening to everyone else. I would hold tissue on my perinium whilst going to the toilet which helped to ease the pain a bit and shower twice a day to make sure I kept the area nice and clean. It will get better but it just takes time. You can take paracetamol and ibuprofen if you are breast feeding and if not you could get something a bit stronger such as co-codamol.

im exactly the same hun, still sore now occasionally

my LO is six weeks old and I still get what I can only describe as pressure and pain around the clit area and what seems to be around the sides too :( I dont have to be doing anything either, it just hurts on its own on times

I seem to remember it took around 6 weeks before mine stopped hurting - it was quite horrible and I remember wondering if it would ever go back to normal. But it definitely does - it's just going to take a bit of time - your body has been through an enormous traumatic experience and it needs time to rest and repair.
