How useless is that!?
I have to call the other hospital and ask about theres but was told when i first got pregnant that i couldnt go there cause they were shutting it down.

I am now having to pay £80 for a day parentcraft class.

I was hoping there would be some classes that i could do while i am off work waiting, but all the ones i have emailed off to havent replied.

:?

That's so useless Flame

Do your midwives do something - mine run the ante-natal classes in my area?

I dont know about the midwives, mine is pretty useless as she seem to be constantly on holiday. I have only met her twice. :?

Sounds just like my MW Flame. She was off sick and unavailable for my appointments. I have had to see 2 different doctors instead. :?

Is that private class you are attending run by the NCT?

No its not NCT, its called babycoaching, they look like good classes but a little pricey, i would have gone for the 5 week course only its £150 and i dont have that spare right now.

www.babycoaching.co.uk i think the website is if you want to have a look.

I spoke to the woman who runs it on the phone today and she sounds really nice.

If you are going to spend that much - you might as well go the extra £40 and go to NCT classes.

You get 16 hours of classes, in the evening so your partner can go to. The classes are really small, only 7 couples who are at the same stage of pregnancy as you usually, so you get to know everyone really well.

You also get 6-7 sessions postnatal as well. They organise coffee mornings etc... to help give you bit of a routine and meet people once the baby is here.

They also organise second hand sales, so you can snap up lots of baby bargains etc..

I sound like an advert for the NCT don't I! I don't work for them honest. I just think they sound really good.

Our hospital one sounded rubbish - is pretty much just a tour of the maternity department and an hour session afterwards.

I have sent off a form for them to, but strangely they say they do classes at the hospital i go to. Talk about confusing.

I havent heard anything back from them either.

I am booked on the NCT course, but I'm planning on attending the NHS ones too, I think its a good way to meet new people as much as anything!

I think its awful you don't have any in your area Flame. :?

I hope you get something you're happy with sorted out real soon Flame

I've just been looking into antenatal classes and there's so many other options, a bit daunting really
