Falling out. Help!

Have a very long head of hair - down to the small of my back in fact. I like my hair that length, my OH loves it, but since I gave birth it's coming out in handfuls! Am I going bald or will I have to cut my hair to thicken it up again?

My hair was falling out in handfuls when I was pregnant and my hairdresser said that's what usually happens after birth so I think what's happening is normal and due to hormones.

Hope you don't have to chop off your locks.

when you're pregnant your body doesn't shed much hair so after baby is born you'll find you loose loads i still do and abi is 7 months

im still loosing my hair but it is also coming thro my hair dresses said i was close to having lost 50% of my hair thankfully my hair was so thick lol

I'm the same, i'm finding hair everywhere. i went to the hairdressers the other day and i was so embarresed it was just coming out when she was combing it. I just had to say " I'm not going bald, I've just had a baby" Lol

Yeah I heard that when you are pregnant you hardly lose any hair that's why it's thick when you are pregnant then when you have the baby you are basically losing 9 months worth of hair. xxxx

same here, when I have a bath and empty it its full of hair! I think no way can that much fall out each time I have a bath

Yep I'm still losing loads of hair too

Getting it cut on Wed though in the hope that a nice fresh cut might give it a bit of strength back
