My husband tried giving her a pot of heinz tonight and it was one she liks as well - she refused point blank, so I tried, but wouldnt take it from me either!
So I warmed up some Hipp lancashire hot pot and she had a lick of it and then munched quite happily and finshed off her tea with banana!

How weird is that eh? typical she likes the Hipp food!

 Maddison does this too but she actually prefers Heinz to Hipp

Yes it is a little bit, but its organic and the food tastes like food and not mush!

I keep trying to give Madds Hipp coz its better food but she seems to prefer crap

I personally found the Heinz ones awful, we alternate between Cow and Gate and Hipp. There's only a few pence difference between them all so I don't really care which he has so long as he'll eat them it's fine with me. The Heinz "mums own" have so far been the only ones he's not enjoyed that much.

yep i was gonna write that, Glenn and Ryan have the same taste, he gags on the Heinz ones and the mums own ones are tasteless, The only thing with the HiPP ones are the nappies!!...erggggg! especially the pasta one, that must be the worse one ever to go through! but he chomps away totally loving them, the cow and gate ones are really nice and the jar is just the right size, he eats a whole one and a half of a pudding one at meal times.

I've noticed the stage 2 jar nappies are pretty shocking to be fair.. :rotfl:

This mornings nappy was a shocker, just looking up what he had last night - Spaghetti Carbonara.. :rotfl:

Stay away from Heinz Mums Own "Fish Mornay". Don't even ask... it's the only baby food he has puked up. And it smelt vile. bleurgh.

BTW the Boots jars are pretty ok too. Ryan loves the pasta and ham one.

lol i have a fish mornay in the cupboard, i got 2 when i first got em and he hated it, i dont know why i kept it, i am gonna have to go chuck it out!

why did anybody ever think up the recipe for fish mornay :rotfl: it's just so wrong

edit- i just googled it and its some woman called helen something or other... dam you! :rotfl:

god, its rank innit, i wouldnt even eat it (grown up version)

we should do a test - everyone who buys baby food, get them to try fish mornay and see if their babies like it. i'd actually be interested to know how many babies don't puke it back out

edit- sorry mrs t i've overtaken your thread with fish hatred

well has anyone tried the stage 2 hipps yet? did the little ones get on ok wih the lumps cos i bought some pots last night before she gets too used to stage 1 non lumpy.

Yeah the nappies are grim with hipp but at least shes enjoying her food and eating lots of it!

I threw all my heinz ones out and had a look at the ingrediants and what a load of crap they have in them!

When can we use the 2nd stage jars? Glenn has started to "chew" when i am feeding him and i have started making his breakfast a bit thicker witha couple of lumps in and he is fine with that but how lumpy is the food in the 2nd jars? and surely they can go on them before they get a tooth?

The pasta ones are pretty chunky but the fruit ones less so...

Give him one to try and see how it goes. That's what I did. I figured since we started solids a month early I would start him on stage 2 a month early so put him on them the day after his 6 month birthday (coincidence really, just when my stage 1's ran out), and he's been ok. Give him a bit longer to chew it, and expect it to be spat out for a bit, but otherwise he's been fine on it.

Ryan's first stage 2 jar was (looking in diary) hipp I think, Lancashire Hotpot.

Aww bless - you wanna watch yourself - little miss high maintenance  She is so cute

Isnt she just? well im going to try her on some stage2 now and see how she gets on, i have stage1 incase its too early. :D
