He's really suffering with it, took him to the GP cus he's had the runs really bad, and the GP said its cus of all the extra saliva he's swallowing, and that he has a few teeth coming thru. He's been off his food only taking 120mls max at a time and he just cries in pain. I've started giving him bonjela to numb his gums before a feed and it seems to help a bit but with all this diarreoh (sp) and lack of milk i'm worried about him dehydrating. He will not take water at all.

He's barely sleeping and when he does he wakes up crying in pain :( he had such a big cry in his sleep last night I was convinced there would be teeth this morning! From what I can tell it looks like its his bottom left fang tooth - Is it normal to get this one first?

Everyone says once the tooth pops up he'll get some relief, I just hope its soon xxx

Thanks for reading girls, its so hard at the minute my poor little lamb xxxxxx

Oh no! Poor Chester! Angel's grotty but not like that! Think i'd be in tears too!
Hope he gets better soon!

Hiya babes! poor chester - he sounds so ill bless him. Teeth are *******s - they go through so much pain with them, the gum shuffling is bad but when there breaking through it leaves them in agony - i know your pain!imms was really bad a few days ago and I was ready to die along with her.
Once there through the pain will die down hunni an he will get better but teething at his young age is awful and so unfair theres nothing you can do but administer the calpol and lots of walking around and back rubbing.

   to you and chester

My lo got his first tooth yesterday and it was his bottom left one that has come through first.

Poor little man and poor you...have some hugs.

We have had a lot of dribbling, crying and a tiny bit of a sore bum but nothing like what you are both going through.

Hiya hun
Poor wee Chester, I can sympathise :( Its hard going when they're teething and you feel so useless. Unfortunately all you can do is comfort as best you can and give Bonjela, Calpol or teething powders

  Poor Chester  your doing everything you can do with teething as im finding we just have take and deep breath and ride through it ansd hope the teeth dont take to long to come through
Big hug for Chester and one for you too

Thanks For your replies girls and all the hugs

Well yesterday he got a hell of a lot worse and I thought no way is this just teething he was howling in pain and he was having the runs every hour or so and crying in pain. So I rung HV, luckily got thru, and she said its sounds like this virus that apparently is on the brink of an epidemic cant remember what she called it, but we've had to cut down on offering him milk cus that could be irritating his stomach and just give him water with one scoop of formula and hey-presto today he's much much better, still not himself but getting there thank god.

I'm so p!ssed of with the GP tho, he's meant to be the top dog at the surgery and he just fobbed us off with teething, its been 4 days he's been like this now

There is a bad tummy thing going around just now and everyones seems to be catching a little bit of it.

Hope all is better soon. xxx

aww poor Chester. Glad he's on the mend  What is it with GP's these days!? They seem crap at diagnosing stuff

Awww! Just saw this. Poor little thing! Hope he will get better soon.

if he cant have milk formula, try giving him soya formula (I think for C&G its Infasoy). It will give him needed calories but wont irritate his tummy
