My boobs are KILLING me

I remember having sore boobs with Lennon but it was gone after 2 weeks. My boobs this time round are still so so painful. Jax is a really lazy sucker, I have so much milk he can literally suck the centre of my nipple and get what he needs still. One of them was bleeding, so I went to bf clinic and they helped me to latch him on properly but now I can't seem to get him to open his mouth wide enough. Sometimes I'm in tears feeding, I'm considering expressing and bottle feeding but I really don't want to.

Jax will only settle to sleep on the boob too.

I tried giving him a dummy a few days ago but he just kept spitting it out.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I have really sore boobs in the morning coz they are so full.
Try squeezing some into the bath to help him latch on better.
It's not easy when they are screaming in the morning though and you are half asleep!

Hello - sorry to hear you're having a hard time. I too wasn't going to express or have a dummy, but at about six days i started to express as I had a lot of pain and also to give me a rest as he was on all the time. If you find that it interferes you could always go back to exclusive BF, but you don't want to get mastitis if you are holding on to too much (that's my advice, not sure how correct it is).

Re. dummy - I started Tom with one of those special better for teeth ones (not sure of technical term) and he wouldn't take it. I just knew if i tried a cherry style one it would work and it did. We would be lost without it, he loves it and I love that he is settled. I didn't want to give one as I was allowed one until a very late age, but needs must sometimes!

My boobs have been very sore too. I've had blocked ducts a couple of times, once last week that was so sore I was in tears feeding him. I just massage and use warm water to help relieve the pressure/soreness. my nipples were very sore a few weeks ago too as Kynon is like a dyson Hoover he sucks so hard! That lanosil cream helped that though. I've tried dummies as Kynon also likes to use me to get to sleep but he ends up really annoyed with them and spits them out so given up with that and just let him feed!
