We call ours 'the egg', just curious did they let your partner stay in for the internal scan. I had a scan last week and they were going to do an internal but then the doc said he didnt have to. Just wondering coz I think my David would have freaked out if they suggested doing it with him in the room

im back 2weeks today for another one!
why... i dunno lol!
My yeah i was aloud 2 people in the room with me when i had my internal. i think it was incase the baby was found without the heartbeat!
I was asked if i wanted a picture so i said yes so my grandparents/mother/father could see the baby.
What a horrible feelin (i thought) gettin the internal!!lol

well i just went with my mum and she came in (OH couldnt get off work) and she cried when she saw it! lol
yeah those internal things are a bit ewwy.
it didnt hurt but then she shown me my ovaries and was pushin side to side n it made me feel a bit
i asked for a picture but she said no sorry ull have to wait for ur 12 week scan.. so i asked if we could buy one! n she said no cos she wouldnt know what to do with the money!! lol
oh well

i dont see why they cant give you a picture like. i was offered and i bit thr hand off at the offer lol! eventho blob is just a little blob i still love lookin at my scan picture lol!

Somneone said to me that having a internal was like having a smear - so i dreaded it, it was like a bloody big vibrator without the sadded pleasure was horrified having it done!

Hi all.....Forgive me for soundin dumb...but how come you had scans at 6 weeks....and what are the internals for??
I thought you didn't have your first scan until 12 weeks......I had more later on in my last pregnancy, but that was 11 years ago, as i had a thyroid problem and they wanted to check the baby's too!!

i went for a scan because i have some bleedin which is still happening, but everything was fine.
they use a vaginal probe to scan u because its easier to see the fetus when ur so early on rather than through layers of fat and skin x

Sorry to hear about the bleeding...But i'm soo glad everythings alright with bump!!
the internal sounds..delightful
....It's such a shame that we women are subjected to all this dignity taking when we're pregnant!!...If the men had to do it, the species would die out..lol..

its not too bad, just uncomfortable, but when u see it on the screen and u sit up a little bit to have a better look, dont sit up too quick cos that kinda pulled!! haha
i was too impatient for the doc to turn the screen towards me so i tried sitting up while i had it in me!
im not sure what the bleedin is.. ive had no pain at all, its just qiute annoying not knowing what it is! doc didnt say much about it either!

I had a scan too at six weeks ( I thought I was nearly eight) for intermittent bleeding, doc said averything was fine, he said the bleeding could be the placenta forming, or from the neck of the womb and can be totally normal. It has just stopped in the last couple of days.
