my 12 week old son not gaining engh weight - help needed

hello all,

our son was moved from SMA to cow and gate comfort, due to reflux. he has seen a peadiatrition for the reflux even though it has settled down. but we have been told he is not putting on enought weight for his age. he was a 10lb 14.5oz baby at birth but nowwe are being told he will have to be admitted to the childrens ward for tests which are routine if his weight does not reach the thick blue line on his charts.

has anybody else had problems with this ? what wa the cause - according to his charts he is not really that under weight but he isnt meeting the normal line.

advice needed please.

Hi honey feel the ned to reply because both my childern are underweight, and not due to reflux.

Both the children have been admitted to hospital, numeroud times, all tests, blood tests, wee tests sweat tests have all been negative.

It is sheer hell to watch them go thru all these tests and still know whats wrong.

We have 3 health visitors all think i am a bad mother, that and think i dont feed them enough either, so they contacted social services and to be honest my life is sheer hell.

My children are very active and very alert and happy which the doctor saiid was a very good sign as most children who are "failing to thrive" are veru unresponsive and the total opposite to the way my children behave.

Also those blue lines to me and my husband are sheer bull sht

There must be some small children , eg mine and yours that are small for the other little lines to exsist.

We spoke to a doctor that basically explained that in INdia (were he came from ) our children would b top scale, eg lil fatties lol

but in england been as most children are concidered to be "obese" its the small children that get into "problems" such as been classed as failin to thrive..

hope this makes sense ive confused the fuck outta me haahahaha
