So, baby R is no more engaged than he/she was at 36 weeks booooo

I know this little nugget is in for the longhaul

Trying not to get too disappointed though.

She has tested me for OC again and I have a sweep booked for a weeks time so we'll see how things go.

Just had my appoinent and pip is same as 36 weeks. In the right position but still 4/5ths palpable.

My next appointment is in just over 2 weeks when I'll be 40+4. It's a bit later because of bank holidays over Easter

How much engaged is your LO hun? Zx

Don't worry, they bounce in and out of engagement from around 32ish weeks (can't remember exactly lol). Lots of babies don't engage at all until during labour so LO could still make a surprise visit as yet... fingers crossed you're not waiting too much longer xxx

Same as you Becky I think, she has written 4/5 ceph in the notes?

Aww doesnt mean baby will be too overdue! Some babies heads dont engage at all until the birth! x

Yep same as me Hun with the 4/5ceph.

You'll just have to get bouncing on your ball. I don't feel too bad about it at the mo but you are nearly a week in front of me so a bit frustrating?

I keep telling myself I'll be at least a week over so I'm not concentrating on my due date as much. Then if pip makes an earlier appearance it'll be a bonus!!

I'm doing that too Becky, they moved my date forwards by loads at the 12 week scan and I always thought it shouldn't have been. So I'm not expecting baby to come before Easter tbh.

She asked if I'd had any pains etc and I haven't really (except for Saturday) so she said she wouldn't expect it to be engaged any more.

I am going to go and read my notes as my midwife is bloody useless and didn't tell me any of this info when I went at 36 weeks!! Got my next appt Thu so am really going to drill her then about exactly where baby is and what it all means. I originally had the 9th April by my dates, scan moved me to the 6th, so I'm aiming for the 12th ish!!! lol Don't want 10th though as that is my wedding anniversary and don't want to spend the next 16 years of my life organising kids parties rather than going out with my hubby!!! Selfish??!! Moi??!!

ooh helly 10th was my original date i had from LMP but then scan changed to the 6th!! But i'd be the same as you i wouldn't want to share the anniversary with baby...hubby would always have an excuse then!!

sligthtly off topic, an ex of mine actually got married on his birthday...,kinda thought that would always spoil your birthday, and take away another day in the year where you can get spoilt!!!

Yeah she does write stuff, but the problem is I can't read her handwriting!! lol. Can normally make out the numbers, like I know my blood pressure last time was 100/58. But she's a bit useless and hasn't plotted my fundal growth on the graph the last couple of times (although she did write that measurement in the notes so I know it's fine), and also she never talks me through the things she's meant to at different appts, e.g. last time her discussion about a birth plan involved her asking me if I'd written one and that was it!!

She's quite often on holiday so I look forward to getting the others as they seem a bit more with it!! It isn't that she's horrible, she's very nice, just doesn't go into much detail. My fault for not asking I suppose, but this is the first time I've done this so I don't know what I should be asking!!!

My dates were moved by 6 days at my 12 week scan too, so I'm not expecting to see Roo at the end of June, I have July in my head. Keep thinking if I think that I will be over then I won't get so worked up about my dd, but I can see that changing the closer I get. Xx

I'm trying to do that kanga, but people keep texting me saying 'ooooh any day now' and 'any signs yet?' and it's hacking me off lol.

I might be wrong and baby might come over the next week but I just can't see it really

Oh yeah I can see how annoying that can get!! I keep getting told at work my bump is small by everyone so I can see them saying any day now near the end, blah blah blah!! Lol
