are you taking some music to hospital with you and if so what sort? i'm trying to get my i pod ready to take with me but don't know what music to put on it

I'm taking rock music for the labour wanna give birth playing "Welcome to the Jungle"

For my hosp stay I'm gonna have some mini disks of 80's music and maybe some savage garden for chillin out!

I used to volunteer at hospital radio so if there's anything I wanna hear but haven't got I'll just put a request in!!

i've been planning my 'birthing playlist' for months, haha. it all got chucked out the window last week, and replaced with the new kings of leon album. i'm just gonna take my ipod with all the music i like on it, so i'll have everything i could possibly want on the day.

Im sure il end up drowning out everything with my puffing panting and general bad language but il stick the ipod in my maternity bag now youve said this, bit of i predict a riot, or dont stop me now will come in handy im thinking !

I had every intention of taking music into labour with me, but completely forgot to do the disc!!

I definitely think it's worth taking, but be prepared to not want any background noise... I don't think I'd have liked to listen to music while I was in labour, I think it would have irritated me...

i think you are right, i know it would have annoyed me having music so thats why im going to take my hypno cd, i just hope i dont fall out with the woman who is talking on it

I took a rnage of CD's - mostly upbeat, rock tunes, but also a bit of chill out classical.
Saying that, once I was there never rememebred I had them!

Am taking my iPod and speakers. I hope the midwives don't mind extreme metal

I'm being induced though so can imagiane I'm going to have a fair amount of hanging around.
