awwww, what a lovely thread! I love my mum to bits! She's been there for me through everything, I was such a cow growing up and she's still there! I realise now that I'm a mum how harsh we were on her and what hard work we were but she did a good job in bringing up 4 kids and I lover her loads! She's also an amazing grandmother, my son adores her! She says it's cos she's off her rocker so on the same level at him  makes me smile seeing them together! My mum has been through so much with my arse of a dad and she's a million times stronger without him! She was a housewife for years and lost all her confidence because of the mental abuse he gave her and now she's working for the government with a job she loves so yeah my mum is brill :D

I loved my mum to pieces, miss her like hell!!

That's one of the really hard things is going through my first pregnancy without her to give me advice, be there for me in general but i know she'll be watching over me and the LO.

Just wish she would've been here to see her first grandchild

heres my mummy with my lil sis.

me and my mum are so close like best mates, love having a young mum, she took me on my first night up town when i was younger so proud of her :)

I've still got the text my mum sent to me at 12.45am asking me 'are you sure you don't want me to come round for a bit?' when I was in labour with Ella. She had me on the phone through contractions and when I told her we were going to the hospital she went out into her garden to listen out for our car leaving (we live the road behind her, Ella's room is nearly opposite her garden). After I had Ella she brought me round lots of nice nutritious meals and filled my fridge full of treats, bless her.

She's a pita sometimes, but also really tries hard. She had me when she was 16 and didn't have it easy so I respect her for that.

Not at all its very true in what ur sayin hun

me and my mum arnt really that close :( but i still think the world of her :) but me and my dad are like best friends as well as hes a star dad :)

My mum is the best mum ever. She always thinks of everyone before herself and takes on everyones problems even though she doesn't need to!! She helps out with Rubie daily which is a life saver for me, and she is having her full time when I go back to work. When Rubie was first born she came round every morning to get us both up  and do my housework

I love you mummy!! :D :D :D

You never realise how special mummies are when you're younger....sometimes we're horrible as teenagers, I was a nightmare for my mum n dad. My dad and I aren't close at all, but my mum is my rock, she has been there for me through so much crap. She's one of the most amazing people I will ever meet....and she's an awesome grannie, she turns 50 in sept and we're throwing her a surprise party I can't wait, she's not keen on being centre of attention but we want to spoil her and make her feel special. She has so many friends and always put everyone else before herself, while I've been suffering with my back lately she comes over to visit me daily and its a 25 min drive from mum's to mine to help with housework, shopping and helping with Haylea. I'm gonna find a pic of her to put on here....she really is one in a million....
Love you loads n loads mummy dear

My mom amazes me!

Doesnt matter how much she has on her plate or how ill she is (she has naff health a lot), she still finds the time and energy to look after the grandkids regularly (at her insistance!), take my nan here there and everywhere. Do things for others all the time and keeps my dad well looked after! lol I know I dont have as much strength and back bone as she does - I really do admire her. :D

Hi

What a nice thread me and mine arent that close yet  but we are working on it as i speak .

Lovely post!!!!
If i turn out to be half as good as my mum ill be very proud. Although she always says to me that im a better mother than she ever was.
My mum was fantastic during organising my wedding, she also paid for most of it!! (and my daddy!!) I could never have done it with out her.
I LOVE YOU MUMMY!!!!

P.S Kim's mum IS fab!!

Hels, i couldn't have got through my wedding without my mum's help.... and "our" purse as i call it (as mum rolls her eyes and says "i don't think so")

Its taken a long time to get close to her.... since i moved back from Australia in 2004 we've been closest, think absense really does make thr heart grow fonder!!!
