Mum refering me to social services

As you can see by the title im getting refered by my mum !
Not to bad as her reasons behind it are

1. i get more support
2. i can get involved in the young parenting aspect within SS
3. they will help me to continue education
4. they will help me get everything im entitled to

Still its all a bit weird that my Mums the social worker thats refering me.

Yup lol was there for 1 1/2 !!
umm kinda i guess i can always just tell them to go away, but it also may be a good way to getting into social work at a later date xx

I don't see a sw but see a family support worker from the dept. I must say it's been a very positive experience and they'll be dropping out a few weeks after baby is born if all is ok. The practical support is good. I'd feel weird if my mum referred me though. Mum is a district nursing sister and she knows most of the health visitors in Aberdeen - we're both a bit wary of this.

The young mums thing sounds good!

Oh wow, my mum refer me to social services I'd stop talking to her. It's a mothers/families job to help n support the daughter n her new child.
But whatever works for u. As long as ur happy

id be pissed off, but i dont like people interfearing lol
I have help from young parents workers but thats because I wanted the help and I asked for it, as I want to get back into education this year.
