Just wondering if anyone has done this and how you found it?

I'm really lucky in the fact that me and hubby get on really well with my parents anyway.
We eventually plan to buy some land or a big house with my parents anyway as we're all fed up of the usual 3 bed semi life that we'll never escape unless we club together and buy something big.

We currently rent and our debts are starting to get a bit out of control leaving us £400 a month to live off (including fuel and food) which is miserable and the only way we see an end to it is my moving in with them. We'd have £1500 spare a month so I could probably pay £1000 a month off debts which would be brilliant!

What would you do?

I personally couldn't do it, but if you both think you can and are happy with it, go for it. My friend has been with her mum for 2 years with OH and 2 kids, and she is glad she did it, they are going to buy the house off her mum once their debts are paid. She gets loads of help with the kids too xxx

Tbh if your both happy and they are and it won't be hell on earth lol then go for it!

We lived with my inlaws for a year before we bought our first flat, I actually met them the day I moved in.....probably not the best idea but luckily we got along very well

We are doing it with mil. I'm dreading it but so sick of stressing about money it will be great to have a break, it also means we can move areas too. I love my mil do don't think it will be too bad and will help me save some cash

We are doing it with my parents and its great! B loves being around them as he gets lots of stimulation and they help out when they can.
Sometimes I can get a bit stressed with my mum doing things her way which can impact on Bs routine but its her house so I have to accept that.

I would set yourself a time limit though and agree with parents as they are getting used to the income we pay into the house and obviously when we move they won't be getting it!

I am 19+1 & moved in with mil 2 weeks ago. I have a cat & they have 2 dogs, I was dreading it & got really stressed but it's fine now. I admit it made me ill worrying because I have to go pee alot & their bathroom is downstairs + we are used to a super king size bed & we are now making do in a double even though I am doubling in size myself!! It'll be worth it as we've only moved out to have a super extension built at our house but it's not the way I imagined relaxing during my pregnancy!!

I live with my inlaws and am dreading it, very stressful.. too much demand feels like I want to escape sometimes, if they help you and can save while there also happy why not. everyone situations are different
