Mothers Day arguements

Hey ladies
Me and OH have been arguing for the last week now about whether I can celebrate mothers day or not.
I think I should be able to at 37 weeks even though I havnt met LO yet as I can certainly feel hes there!
OH thinks I shouldnt celebrate it as im not a mum yet and he thinks its jinxing it.
What do you all think?

I think as soon as you're pregnant you're a mum as you make decisions with LO in mind ie stop drinking/smoking etc. That said I'm not expecting anything from DH on Sunday I'd rather wait til next year xx

I'd rather have a better pushing pressie tbh. Mother's Day is always a bit traumatic for my OH cos he lost his mum, I'm not rocking the boat this year I'll wait xxxxxxxx

A kiss is all I'll get, closely followed by him hassling me to DTD again!

I think so close to giving birth I'd expect OH to acknowledge with at least a card?

However I'd go nuts if OH bought me a card so early on....

I do kind of feel sorry for men, its a minefield hey?

And he just gets the flack for everything!!

I've asked OH not to get me anything for mothers day as I feel I'll also be jinxing it..... however it is traditional to have an eternity ring brought my hubby after first child- Although I'll settle for a half eternity ring! x

When I was little, my dad bought my mum an eternity ring, but I thought it was called a Maternity Ring!
I got all excited thinking I was having a little brother or sister!
I dont really want anything for mothers day, just to be acknowledged that I am a mum!

yep i won;t get one either, he wouldn;t have even thought about it lol I might however buy myself one with his money

I got my OH a 'father to be' card when I was pregnant on fathers day

Hey hun I think we are all mummies from the day we get pregnant, it's easier for us to think that way because we feel everything and I feel easier to bond with harry, mark has bought me a yummy mummy mug and a 1st mothers day card but he's said I can have my card now but I'm not allowed my mug until harry is here, which I think is fair!

I'm hoping for a teeny something (read that as a £5 bunch of tulips from Tesco!!) but I can pretty much assure you I will remain diamondless lol

My hubby was supposed to buy me a diamond ring this year for our 5 year anniversary but it got spent on harry instead! he is taking me to the pub for lunch as a special treat though x
