Has anyone set up a mothercare nursery plan? I thought it looked like a good idea but then when I looked online there was only a select few items you could choose from :? Anyone know if it's different if you go instore. I also thought you could get everything you need but it also looks like it's just bulky things like furniture and pushchairs?

I tried to get the pushchair I wanted on this, but it wasn't on the list. So now it's in MIL's garage because she won't let me have it in the house!!!

Oh no what's it doing there  . I love prams and pushchairs and always had to put mine up months before baby came just to have a look and a little push . You gotta go and nick it  xx

They change the list every week I think and change products on it. It sounded like a good idea to me until they mentuioned that. But to be honest you cvan get stuff much cheaper elsewhere than from mothercare. I'd shop about a bit :)

She won't let me nick it Nikki. :( In her defense, she has paid for it!! But when we rang her from the Mothercare shop and told her it wasn't on the plan but it was in stock and we could take it now, even the security guard on the front door heard her screaming down the phone!!! Superstition about having a pram in the house before baby is born, stupid woman!

Cheers Sami think I will hun :) xx

Oh tankett that's a shame,at least she let you pick it yourself, mine would probably choose it for me :x That would still bug me though it's your pram, your baby and your life, god I hate it when MIL's take over, thinking they know best that's why i haven't even told mine I am pregnant yet  xx (she will probably be the one who wants to push it everywhere seeing as she paid for it   )xx

I got the mothercare £160 travel system, and to be honest it's the best buy I got. I managed to get £30 off it coz my mate works there, but now it's coming up to summer I'm not ever using it, I bought a stroller (mothercare Jive actually lol) as the travel system is just too heavy. they take up so much boot space, etc. Depending on what time of year you are having your baby, I would look into something cheaper instead of going all out on something which you'll only use for 4 months like me. I use it when it rains or really cold, but for nic or normal days or when I go shopping I just use the stroller.

And I don't know if John lewis still do it, but they have a gorgeous, flat slat, 3 position based cot for £109 I think it was. Much nicer than the ones in mothercare and is very sturdy too.

Good luck with shopping, it's so much fun :D
