So stupid af has come along to wreck my day. I hope some mooncup veterans can help me, this is just my 2nd cycle trying mine because my periods have only just become heavy enough after a full year off the pill to warrant sanitary protection!!
The problem I'm having is that I can't get the darned thing out without major discomfort and its a bit painful too tbh. It goes in fine and I can't feel it when it's there, but (TMI) I have to really poke around to get it out and it just feels colossal when it's coming out past the vaginal entrance. I think I may have prolapsed to some degree after having my daughter cos I have this horrible fleshy lump just inside. I hate having to put my fingers anywhere near it cos it just makes me think how f***ed up my body is after giving birth. Anyway I also have the problem that getting it out gets my fingers very messy. I don't know how anyone could manage removing it in a public toilet without a sink right beside them? I always wondered how women used non applicator tampons cos surely they have the same problem?

Anyway I'd really love help with this because I was really excited to use it when I bought it,I think it is good in terms of women doing whats best for their bodies and also for the environment. Don't want to give up on it, please help!!! xxx

Hi CatBana
Sorry not able to provide much useful info, but I've been using a mooncup for about 2 years now, and all I can say is that it definitely gets easier with practice.
Do they have a website with any useful tips?
Best of luck with it - definitely worth persevering with if you can! :)

I did find my mooncup a bit strange to start off with - but have you tried changing position when you take it out?
They reccomend in the booklet to either squat or put one leg up to help with pushing it down - you can also squeeze and push it with your muscles so that you can reach it easier,

Hope this helps x

Thanks girls for your help, I had a look on the website and I think I was putting it in too far. It also said you can fold it on the way out too to make it smaller and easier to get out. Feel a bit more positive about the menstrual cup situation now!

Will definitely persevere because I love how you can put it in then forget about it for 8 whole hours, my cramps weren't as bad this month either so that's definitely a plus!
Thanks ladies xoxo
