montessori schooling

not sure if this is in the right section, but anyway...

...has anybody heard of the montessori method of schooling?
my mother came round today raving about it, and apparently there is a montessori nursery school here in leeds and she reckons she wants to pay for my kids to go there

I've been looking up stuff about this montessori method all afternoon, and it sounds pretty good (if very unusual) but I wondered if anybody has actually had any experience of it?

my girls go to a Montessori kindergarten and it's absolutely fantastic!

I'm going to keep them in Montessori education until aged twelve if I can.

I went to Montessori school from the age of 3, as did both my brothers. I also plan to send our child to Montessori, as I really feel that I benefitted greatly from it.

They are just fab ............ use lots of play to learn and kids are really encouraged to enjoy learning ........
