mobile phone/internet help?

i dont have a clue about mobile phones but i bought a new one on saturday and it keeps saying 'GPRS not connected' or something when i try to use vodaphone live or the internet. Does any one know what that means? i could get onto vodaphone live untill i ran out of credit but i thought it was free anyway? but i cant get on now just says 'GPRS not connected' or what ever.
I just wanna use my games

Have you tried contacting you service provider hon? they might have to give you a code or sommink

Normally you have to set it up by getting a code from your phone company.
It's not free either it's bloody expensive!
