Missed my antenatal classes! :(

Went to 28 week appointment to day and M/W asks how i got on at classes - cue a very confused me asking what the heck she's on about, and apparently i should have been at ante natal classes this month, but somehow they managed to miss me off the list!!! not impressed.

She gave me the dates for the ones in January though - will need to write it in RED on the calander!!

I went to all 7 NCT classes, I learnt nothing I didnt already know just by using this forum

oh - ok dont feel quite so bad now. TBH - i mostly want to go to meet other local mums to be (not that you guys aint great. lol)

Oh hun what a pain. Glad u can go to the january classes, good for meeting people and feeling a little more prepared for babies arrival.

We only have three classes.. one for labour, one for pain relief (tonight) and the last is a tour of the labour ward. Not sure if I can ne bothered going tbh :/ xx

I think we get 4 - preparing for birth, coping with labour, skills for new parents, and getting off to a good start (according to the info I got from the maternity unit)

I mainly wanna just meet people. We're also thinking of going to the classes held at the midwife unit i want to give birth in - basically so i can meet the midwifes there (its 30mins away) - and also cos they are in the evening and I think DH could really do with some info - maybe wont do all 4 there - but at least get him a little bit up to speed. lol

Awwww, I missed two of mine and only went to one!
My OH didn't really want to go because he hated the fact the room was so small and there was so many couples (the room was full!) I felt sad about missing them but honestly I don't think I missed much, I don't think any class or book can teach you what to expect or how to be 'ready'. I've read books and articles but I know that if worst comes to worst and I don't know what is happening, I've got the advice of all the ladies on here and my other friends online xxx
