MIL!!!

Hi hun I was just going to say the same, re-wash how you want them done and then tumble dry :-)

I don't know if I can get my blanket and jacket back to normal, they look completely ruined :( cause they were that fluffy way, it looks like some one has near enough set them on fire and all the fibres are stuck together..

Oh :-(

 she clearly did mean well, which is why it's hard for you to say anything to her I suppose. All you can do is try to get them back to normal. Don't know what else to suggest apart from washing them again hun and see how it goes, the wash may prise the fibres apart again xx

Thanks girls will give it a try, hopefully it will be ok x

Take it bk to the shop for a refund say u washed it and it came out like it they will Exchange it for u even with out a receipt they will class it as a manufactures defect

aww hun! Im sure she did mean well but just re-wash them and they should be ok.

Does it matter if you air dry them or tumbledry??:eh:

It shouldn't do should it is thought air dry would be better anything soft or fluffy I put on the clothes horse to dry in case it damages in the tumble dryer

will do a big wash of all my baby bits when i move into new flat.... whilst im organising his room.... Need to nest... Big urges... NO chances :'(

oh no!

The other stuff should be fine when re-washed but I know what you mean about the fluffy stuff. I once had a really nice coat with a fluffy bit around the hood and I washed it and it went like you are describing and I was gutted :( It just looked awful!

I don't know, the tumble dryer just seems to make the clothes softer? Whereas if they are air drying however MIL seems to do it they go as hard as cardboard, I don't know why :| But I got the blanket ages ago, do you think they would still take it back? x

They could get abit arsy but just say obviously u bought it for the baby which you haven't given birth to yet and you washed it ready for the baby and u took it out the wash dried it and its turned out how it has some staff might get funny with you but a manger shouldn't have a problem especially as ur asking for a Exchange and not a refund

Oh I had a fluffy Jacket for belle when she was little and it was a sunny day so I hung it on the line an omg! It was horrible so I attacked it with a soft hair brush ten re washed it as Brushed it again and it was lovely :) as far as the money goes tell her you need it and she can't go lending your money out which is basically what she is doing xxx

I took all the clothes to my mum and she saved the day ! What would I do without her lol! and I know, we are going to get the money off SIL and then MIL can just give more to SIL later on, cause we really need it and she is being ridiculous, she shouldn't be asking to borrow money from us, tell us we will get it next month (and she borrowed this money when I was like 20 weeks preg) and then we are still waiting for it, 3 months on ! x
