MIL Xmas pressie

MIL is really into arts and crafts, and has made Christmas stockings for the entire family. She kinda said "but I don't know who will actually fill mine" so OH and I decided that would be her present from us. OH discussed it with his dad, all fine so I've started buying bits for her. OH comes home tonight and says "dad says we need to buy another stocking because he's filling that one" WHAT!? That defeats the whole object of us doing it?! I said this to OH and he said I was being selfish?! Now what do I do? Do I carry on or buy a proper present? Am I being silly for being cross about it?

Could you use the bits you have bought or were going to buy in a mini hamper style thing instead? X

Oh yes what Kay said would be good.

Make a small crafty hamper, maybe put everything in a sewing box or craft bag she can use as storage for current projects etc?

As a crafter we always need more storage and little bits and bobs

I like that idea, but I've random stuff like a diary, a button tin that I've filled with ribbon, nail files, bubble bath, chocolates, none of it really "goes together" if you know what I mean?

As soon as I read your post I thought of a mini hamper too. She will have the best of both worlds xx
