Might have a UTI

I think I might have a UTI, I had to have a course of antibiotics about 2 weeks ago for one but it cleared up (I think).

Now having a few sharp pains down below when my bladder's full (which seems to be all the bloody time!). Does that sound right? I never had one before being pregnant and didn't have any symptoms with the last one, it was picked up after a routine sample.

Should I go to see the doctor or the midwife? I never know which one's right.

I had a UTI when I was just over 12 weeks - MW didnt pick it up by the Consultant did at the hospital when I went for a consultation (about by eye, long story).

You don't get any symptons - it's not like when you have cystisis and it burns to wee.

Are you sure that the sharp pains aren't just ligament pains? I get those and they do dart across your tummy and down to your bits?

If you're worried Midwife is the best bet - can you call them?

It might be that, they're not on my tummy though, just my lady bits. I'll call the midwife on Monday if they're still there, not got her number at work.

Good idea - all you can really do is keep your fluids up to keep flushing your system through Sweetie.

I was on antibiotics for a week with mine - then ended up with Thrush - but all is OK now

I had symptoms when I had a UTI after having my son. It hurt to go to the toilet like cystitis and I felt like I constantly needed to wee. Went to the out of hours doctors in the end after completing the cystitis treatment and he said that I had what they call a full house and a really bad UTI. Gave me some pills and was gone in a couple of days.
