Midwife rant....

She was supposed to be here at 12:30....am still waiting and not even a courtesy phone call. Am a bit annoyed....it's taken me 3 weeks to get her to ring me in the first place to arrange this meeting....and now she's half an hour late.

How rude! She should at least have the courtesy to warn you if she's running late.
Maybe an emergency has come up and it's slipped her mind

It's entirely possible. Unfortunately the surgery has now closed for lunch, so if she's not here by 2, I'll ring them and see if they can get hold of her for me.

I do have a number for her but it's an answer service only for non important calls.

I had to go to the surgery for my first one and she was running over 50 minutes late - i wasn't best pleased! Hope she is with you soon x x x

Hooray - she's just rung to say that she got caught up with a new patient just out of hospital, so she's on her way over with a student midwife....

Should be here in about 5 minutes.

At least you got an actual time - mine told me somewhere between 9 and 1 for my first home visit and couldn't give me any kind of more accurate time. Boss loved that one.... She was lovely when she turned up though and it did give me a whole morning to watch daytime tv

lol....

She finally turned up at 25 past 1 and stayed until 10 past 3! Also had a student midwife with her.

But all is sorted and I have my "plan" for up to 20 weeks now...depending on where I actually am, date-wise.
