Is it just me or is it annoying when you have to wait in for the midwife EVERY morning?!?!

When Ryan was in SCBU I had my daily checks on the maternity ward while I was at the hospital visiting him, that lasted for about 8 days after which the midwife started coming to the house.

I thought she might've discharged me by now but she's still coming every day and she's always late so I have to sit in the house and wait for her. Everythings fine, ryans feeding is alright now and Im ok. All she does is asks me how things are, writes a few notes and goes. I feel like Im under bloody supervision all the time and I dont like it.

Not only that but I've had the health visitor twice already, a speech and language therapist (to observe ryans feeding) and a surestart midwife :?

I just want one day to myself to enjoy my new baby :wall: :wall: :wall:

Sorry, rant over!

The midwife came to see me everyday for the 1st 10 days or so which was a bit annoying because I wanted to either sleep, not bother getting dressed or go out which I couldnt if she was coming round.

One moring though I wanted to go town and just went and she left a card through my door saying that she had been an that was it.

I also seen the HV a couple of times even while the midwife was still coming.

i would suggest saying to her, do you think we could try having no visit tomorrow, I am coping really well and will phone if i have any problems, chances are she is really busy and would appriciate it. My midwife came every 3 days on averagee.

I actually said that to her today and she said she'll let me get on with things now, just to phone if I need her.

Yey, I can make plans to go out and stuff now lol :cheer:
