Got my second midwife appointment tomorrow.
Just wondering is it always the same, like just asking us questions an that. I thought they come to your house but im obviously wrong?
im confused lol

nah they come 2 ur house possibly toward the end, if ur finding it hard to get around and when they baby has been born
I cant remember what they do on the 2nd trip its generally the same stuff everytime though

check blood pressure
urine
feel tum tum
check the heart beat
and they start measuring ur tummy as well?
write in ur notes thats about it

Sounds abit boring, why cant they do a dance an pretend to be in labour. god give us some entertainment!

i've got my 25 week appt tomorrow (bit early as on hols next week :cheer: )

I know that I get my MAT-B1 and work-related stuff & think we have a bit of a discussion about work, leave and also the birth plan.

My 16 week one was boring, apart from listening to LO for the first time which was great! I was in and out in 10 mins!

Mind did - about 11 weeks. She did a risk assessment thing of my house like whether there were street lamps outside, whether we had a doorbell etc. and did my bloods while she was here!

Was probably a sneaky way to check if I lived in a hovel and would be a suitable parent!! :rotfl: On my timetable thingy of when I have to go and see the midwife it looks like she used to come and visit at home at 36 weeks too but that's been crossed off now.

 yeah, we had to hide the pizza boxes and the cocaine

I suppose my situation has been a bit unusual then as I saw my MW every couple of weeks in the first few months, and now once a month, and then it alternates with the doctor because they keep checking my blood pressure. That's one of the things I am thankful for with this pregnancy - my high blood pressure has gone  It's just a bit annoying having to get get checked all the time to make sure it is staying normal, but better to be safe than sorry :)
