midwife appots ?

I first seen my midwife just before 8 weeks I dont see her at all til 6 months is that normal

That seems like a long time, I saw mine at 8, 14 and then at 20, 24 etc x

That's a huge gap between appts. I saw mine at 7wks, will see her again on Thurs for 17wks and think I need to go back not long after 20wk scan xx

I see mine at 16 weeks and the next times will be 25 and 28 weeks. x

I saw mine at 8 weeks, 16 weeks then not til 24 weeks for my GTT. There should be a 16 week appt in there somewhere I think haha!

i seen mine at 8 weeks and dont see her again until 24 weeks (not long now though). then i think we increase our visits but not sure. i know that she corrosponds with the hospital though so they report back on my scans to say that everything went okay. so really no need to see her until 24 weeks anyway. but ive got loads to ask her, so really looking forward to seeing her finally! x

Theres no way i could go that long without seeing anyone about my baby even if i did have scans in between.
Ive seen mine at 12 weeks for booking in then 16 weeks then 22 weeks after my scan for a catch up, tomorrow at 26 weeks and then every 2-3 weeks from now until birth.
Luckily midwife puts my mind at rest and to hear the babys heartbeating is amazing, even if i can feel her and know shes ok.
Cant believe in that such long gap, what if you had nay questions or worries x

I saw my midwife at 8 weeks 16 weeks and have another apointment at 24 weeks booked in.... You may want to contact your GP to see what the norm is in your area x

It does seem like a bit of a gap, are you having the triple test done for downs risk as this needs to be done around 14-16 weeks?? Xx

Wow I can't believe you would have to wait 2 to 3 days for your mw to contact you back if you have an emergency! That sounds so wrong. I'd ask if there were another community mw who could be your named mw. I think there are another 2 mws I can call on if my mw isn't working on that particular day. All I have to do is ring their office and staff there tell me who is on that day.

I originally saw my mw at 8 weeks for the booking appt and was told to make another appt for 16 weeks. I don't have my green notes with me, but I'm sure I have quite a few appts with the mw after 20 weeks. Gonna have to check later lol.

sounds like your practically going through this pregnancy on your own especially if they take a few days to get in touch for an emergency. Is this standard in your area. Good job you got this place i say x
