Any advice would be much appreciated as I am rather confused at what is going on with my body! The first day of last period was 14/3/18 normally have regular 27-28 day cycle.. ..Today(14 days after the 1st day of my last period)-Ive had brown discarge and what looks like the beginning of my period .. ..we are trying to conceive.. ..is this anything to be concerned about.. ..in no pain apart from what feels like period cramps...I havent ovulated and I normally do day14 should I take today as day 1 of a new cycle.. ..i'm a bit confused!!! Xmas

Mid cycle bleeding

It can be a sign of ovulation to get some mid cycle bleed. When I had some mid cycle bleed In my last cycle it was day 16 I wasn’t sure what it was and just dtd incase I was fertile an I’m now 7 weeks pregnant! Good luck xxx

It is probably a sign of ovulation. Sometimes leftover period blood comes out when you ovulate. Or if the egg bursts out of the follicle particularly violently (haha) it can cause light spotting.
I'm not trying to scare you, but if it becomes a regular thing it can be a sign of something more sinister, so do keep an eye on it. You're almost definitely fine though

It looks like its my period, became heavier as the day went on and have it today too. So I basicially had 2 weeks of a cycle and didn't ovulate in those 2 weeks which I have never experienced before! Back to cycle day 2 so going to start testing for ovulation on day 10 again and hopefully I'll see a smiley face!

Not sure how long you have been TTC or if you were on hormonal contraception beforehand but could well be your body still adjusting if you are. Xx
This was my first cycle of ttc no.3 - I haven't been on contraception since August 2015. Normally ovulate CD14 but period arrived yest on CD 14 and never ovulated so back to CD 2!
