Membrane Sweep - Failed :-(

Hi

I went to have a sweep today and my MW said my cervix was too high. She could barely reach it but did manage to but that was about it. I was 1cm dilated.

Because she didnt actually get to do the stretching and sweeping, should I still be bleeding? It is old blood, brown. Not much at all but noticable when I wipe.

I hope your cervix decends soon. Mine is too high to reach so I wonder if I might have the same problem in a couple weeks.
I think that it's normal to get some bleeding after a sweep, even attempted. Give your midwife a call if you're worried

I'm sorry that the sweep didnt work for you.

Hopefully you will start naturally.

Re the blood im unsure im afraid, the whole pregnancy stuff is new to me, maybe ask the question in the ask a mum section of the forum.
