MAx has gone off his milk. hes so fussy with the bottle all the time, barely drinks any of it, cries during it as well sometimes. he's miserable too! always crying, wont settle for naps just screams n screams. im struggling big time i just dont know whats up with him. Hes 12 weeks today. ive left a message with the health visitor just waiting for her to phone back.

just feel like crap !! i thought things were menna get easier :( feel like a failure.

ive only just been able to eat something, just about managed to get dressed n make his bottles. usually when he first wakes hes so content to sit n play while i do the morning duties, cleaning makng bottles getting dressed etc but hes just never happy at the moment!

arrgghhhhh my head is banging!

Awww hunni that can't be fun for you at all :(

Is it possible he's started teething? Chloe started at around this age and as soon as we popped some teething gel on her gums she settled right down. She went completely off her milk as well.

If you've tried everything else maybe a dose of calpol just in case there's some hidden pain?

Awwww big hugs hun . Ruby has been like this for nearly two weeks now but she hasn't been well at all and the dr did say its normal for them to go off there milk .

Could you LO been teething , if so the suckling will be hurting there little guns maby try some teething gel xxx

yeah ive tried teething gel as thats what i thought but maybe ill try a bit more i only tried it once. ive heard teething powders are good so ill try some of them too.

he hates calpol lol so i struggle to get it in him but yeah may try that actually, hes finally asleep. hoping he has a big long nap as he keeps having only little half hour naps and i think that has something to do with it.

so why did the doctor say they go off their milk? when they're ill? or did he mean they can just do that sometimes?

wish this health visitor would call me back! xxx

When there Sick they go off there food especially if it's viral as it effects there throat and it's like me as u when we have a sore throat we don't like eating as swallowing hurts .

Nelsons teething powder is good I think it's about 5 quid for a box of the powder sachets .

Xxx

Oh forgot to say can u not try giving the capol through a syringe xxx

yeah i give it through a syringe but he forces it all out with his tongue and screams so it wont go down!

im gonna try some calpol though cause yeah he could be a bit ill or something. i wish they could tell us lol!xxx

Does he have a dummy? Have you tried poppping it straight in after the medicine as the sucking action makes them swallow.

That's a good idea thanks!

Health visitor thinks he may be teething so fingers crossed the powder works. Gona give him some calpol before bed too xxxx
