Ok, so my sister has very kindly offered to take me for an aromatheropy massage this Friday, however because I am in the 2ww and there is a *possibility* that I may be pregnant I was wondering what oils and stuffI would need to avoid?

There are some essential oils that are beneficial during pregnancy. Many can help relieve anxiety and tension while still others are useful for relieving bloating and headaches. Here is a list of essential oils that may be helpful during pregnancy:
  • Tangerine
  • Lemon
  • Tea Tree
  • Ylang-ylang
  • Mandarin
Other essential oils including the following should be avoided during pregnancy for their contraction stimulating properties:
  • Arnica
  • Clary sage
  • Fennel
  • Jasmine
  • Juniper
This list is by no means comprehensive. Be sure again when in doubt to consult with a qualified therapist. If you have any concerns or doubts stick to a massage session without the use of massage oils. Either way you're bound to find the experience relaxing and stress relieving

hope this helps hun

Thankyou!! I think it may be best for me to call and speak to comeone before the appointment is booked.

yeah i would just to make sure thy have the oils avaliable
thy may even have some to aid conception ya never know :)

Ok I have just phoned and spoke to one of the theropists who said it would be safe to have a Oil Free Swedish Massage :)

ooooooo im jealous lol :P
i might have to have one lol

thy must put somethink on the skin surely!!!!
moisturising stuff or something lol i really dont know lol

If they are a qualified massuse (sp?) and you tell them you might be pregnant they will know what you can and cant have. Oil free might just mean scent free. I would just go and enjoy!

I think she said they have like a base oil which does not have any of the aromatherapy scents in it or if I would be more confident they do also offer an oil free massage so I thought to avoid any worry ill go for that but then thought about it after and thought I want to come back out with skin still attached to my back

Go for it, it's supposed to be relaxing! Think of all the awful things people could do in the 2WW, this is hardly going to be high up that list. Hope you have a lovely time x

Ooohhhhh sounds lovely! Hey get them to use baby oil.....it may make you have a baby lol! Er, but not coconut oil in case you end up with a coconut !!!
