Marmite!!

I was eating marmite on toast the other day and max was watching and getting excited and kept trying to grab it!! So i let him have a taste and he loved it!!! I really expected him to screw his face up, he also loves liver!!!

I'd be careful about giving marmite as it is extremely salty.

edit...ooooh you can buy a lo-salt one I might get it.

Marmite is really good for them appartently, the HV advised it today, when i took jamie for his health check they had bread with marmite on for them all to try!

Yeah I think as they get older it's fine, Mason doesn't like it though....he did when he was about 1.

I'm going to look out for the lo-salt one, although there's loads of salt in bread too so you just can't win

well all the babies there today were aged between 7 - 9 months so it cant be that bad!

I'm not saying it's bad, I just pointed out it does have salt in, just in case people didn't know.

Yea i thought about the salt content afterwards but he only a tiny bit!! didnt know you could a low salt one!

A tiny bit would be fine! I didn't know about the lo-salt one either till I looked after seeing this thread, so I'm glad you made it, I'll be buying some!

Its silly how HV advise it, they never said anything about the salt content!! and they were giving it to babies on bread!
Ive not tryed Jamie with it but will defintely look out for the low salt one!
