Hi
I love the name Mackenzie and I like it for a boy, traditionally it's a boys name but I believe this is now used for girls and can be viewed as a more 'feminine' name. What are other people's views is it a boys or girls name? Also how common is this name?
Thanks in advance

Boys name Id say but doesnt matter if its a unisex name.. go for what u like not what others will think a baby makes a name its own x

I always thought it was a boys name but my dad suggested it last week as a girls name but I definitely wouldn't call a girl Mackenzie x

I'm English but I live in Glasgow, to me it's a boys name but here I only know of girls called Mackenzie. x

Both. If I heard the name I wouldn't like to hazard a guess on sex. X

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(

I think its more a boys name. My cousin is called Mackenzie. Also, he has alot of trouble being able to write his name as its so long. He refuses to be just kenzie and is 7 but cant spell or write his name and its hard as it doesnt spell as it sounds iykwim

tapatalking x

i like it as a boys name (dont panic I wont steal it as OH doesny like it plus we have aboys name ready to use if we have a boy if theres a next time lol ) xx

I only know of one Mackenzie at my DS's school and she's a girl xx

Not my type of thing but botg sexes I think x

pregnant with baby no 2 ;)
sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 excuse my terrible spelling :p

I know it more as girls name , prefer mack as boys name

I think it is one of those male names like Sydney that has become popular as a girls name primarily in the US. I don't know any Mackenzies and I would probably associate it as a girls name for the reason given (have only heard it for girls on US tv shows)
