m/c question AF coming back

so my girl is only almost 6months, and i honestly wouldnt choose to become pregnant again any time soon. She is 100% BF'd still, and i started getting all these stomach cramps like period pains but over the last 11 weeks or so. OH and i use protection, but one of them did have a tear in it. i was really worried as i was having all the signs i had when pregnant with india. then yesterday a tonne of weird looking tissue came out into the toilet, and today i have what seems like a period.

My OBGYN told me that my periods would return around 8months to a year, or once i started her on solids, so i so wasnt expecting them to be here so soon.

Do you think i could have misscarried. I'd hate to feel relieved about it, but i was so terrified the last few weeks of having a newborn and a 15month old!

That sounds like my 1st period after having Rudy. iIt was completley different to any AF I had ever had and was very heavy, I had allso been having cramps and PG symptoms in the lead up, tbh I get pregnancy syptoms all the time now as my contraceptive pill causes them too. I was little worried about it but was assured it was normal after having LO. I got mine at about 4 months just after I stopped BF but it is not uncommon to get them even if you are still fully BF. Some people get a period only weeks after giving birth. I think it does mean that you are probably back to full fertility now that you have had a period so contraception is a must of you don't want to become pregnant again.
