Hi Ladies,
Hope you are all well. Just wondered if anyone could reassure me? Over 2 weeks ago I discovered a small hard lump in my left breast on the outer edge. I went to the Doctor and she has referred me to the breast clinic - although she says it is more than likely to do with the pregnancy (blocked duct, cysts etc) as this is common (especially at this late stage), but felt that it would be safer to get it checked out. My appt is in another week but I cannot stop worrying about it. I do have a lump in the same place on the other side but it is much smaller and you have to look for it, whereas the one on the left stands out straight away and seems to be getting bigger. Has anyone else had new lumps appearing? I do know this is common in pregnancy but I am really worried anyway.

Thanks for any advice.

I have a lump and I went to have it checked out and they said it is just from the milk thats being produced. Hope your is all okay

I can't remember what they were like in pregnancy but I can tell you that now (with milk in them) you can really feel your milk ducts, especially when they are full, as big lumps in your breast. Have a look at diagrams of what the milk ducts look like in your breasts and have a feel around to see if you can find more lumps. I leaked a little in pregnancy so it would make sense to think that I only had one or 2 milk ducts producing milk.

Thanks for the replies. I can feel loads of little hard lumps in both breasts but the one on the left is definately bigger and harder. I am just waiting for Monday for my scan so I can know (hopefully) for sure. I keep telling myself that it is unlikely but you just can't relax when you having something like that hanging over you (along with impending labour - due in 2 days!!)

Will let you know the outcome.....

Thanks ladies XX
