i have to have a scan in the next couple of weeks to see if my placeta has moved up. The question im asking is.. if it hasn't moved and I have to have a c section then how long will they leave me b4 having the section??

I had a low lying placenta with my last pregnancy, had a scan at 32 weeks where it moved a couple of mm...then another at 36 weks where it had moved another few mm...luckily enough for me to have a normal delivery but they discussed booking me in for a c section at 38 weeks as the baby was a good size.

I know a few peeps who have had low lying placentas and all of them moved before the 38 week mark and all had normal deliverys so i wouldnt worry too much.

Its not that im so much as worrying if that makes sense its more the fact that I need to change drs and hospital after the scan and didnt know how much time I would have to get booked in down at my new drs and hospital.

I suggest the day you move you register with the local Dr's then ask to speak to the midwife who can book an appointment with you asap and she will get you booked into the hospital, dont forget to let your current midwife know your moving so she can let the hospital know else they will be wondering why you havnt gone into labour lol.Ive got to do all this in August when im 37 weeks gone!!!

thats brillant thanks hun!! nice to speak to someone who has had to do it!! I hate having to change drs, ive been with the same dr for years and years but gotta be done!!

Ive been with my dr's for 17 years and they seen me through and looked after me through my last 3 pregnancys so i sort of feel im abandoning them silly as that sounds lol

No it doesnt sound silly... my dr helped me with my panic attacks and loads of other stuff since ive been there and I feel the same as you. I like the fact that i know my midwife at the one im at now as well. She was the midwife for all my mates and a local woman so she always makes ya feel at ease!! I soo dont wanna leave!! :( im gutted to be having to tell her that im moving :(
