Does anyone else have lots of pain around ovulation?? I usually get a throbbing pain in the ovary I ovulate from but right now I'm in quite a lot of pain. It's from both ovaries, mainly my left, and I feel like someone has stamped on my lower abdomen! I certainly don't feel like bd! I'm really starting to think something is wrong especially after my odd period 2 weeks ago.
If I press my tummy it feels bruised and really hurts. Think it's safe to say I'll not be getting a bfp this month :(

I've never ever suffered from pain during ovulation so I never knew when I was ovulating to be honest. I used to get CM but didn't link it to ovulation - just didn't think it was anything to do with that! I think I never experienced ovulation pain possibly because I was on BC?? I think perhaps my BC helped with that and so I never noticed.

If you are worried it is always best to be sure so just check with your GP if it's playing on your mind... All women can be different. Hope you feel better real soon lovely. Xx

Yeah it's definitely different from normal, it's ok if I sit down but when I'm walking about it really hurts. I think I am going to have to go to the Dr, I'll probably see how it is next month as this could just be how ov is for me now, but if I'm still worried I'll go x

Rather have it checked, it could be nothing to worry about like you said but then again it might be a cyst or an infection. Best to be on the safe side I think... Hope you feel better sweet lady xxx

It sounds like its a bit more painful than it should be? And if you had an odd period a few weeks ago. Make an appoinemtn at the GP just for peace of mind more than anything.

xx

Thanks KatD, I will get to the Dr as soon as I can I think, unless it goes over the next couple of days.

It more painful than it ever has been for me yeah, if some women have this every month I feel for them!
This morning walking to school I could feel pain on my left every time I brought my left leg forward, it kind of went from my left side (ovary/tube) to the middle. I also had a bit of period pain too but only a slight feeling of it if you know what I mean, it wasn't crippling.
I feel like I have 2 people in my head arguing, one says I can't be pregnant because I had a period (only 1 1/2 days) and surely by now I'd have more symptoms...
The other says it could have been a heavy implantation bleed and I didn't know I was pregnant with my last until I was 7/8 weeks because I had no symptoms. But I wasn't looking for them because she wasn't planned.
I do have ov symptoms now, so therefore that means I'm not pregnant. But I haven't got anywhere near as much ewcm as I usually get. I feel nauseous in the morning but this could be a new ov symptom. My nipples are sore, this has never been an ov symptom nor a pregnancy symptom for me, I just don't get sore nipples. New ov symptom maybe? I don't know, I'm looking into everything but have no answers. It's frustrating me that I can't even get a test to shut one voice up! :)

Hi Wren, apprently I'm ovulating around now and I've been having a lot of cramping, no idea if its ovulation related or not but it's quite painful. Also got a really bad cold so having a lemsip so the paracetemol with that should help with the pain.

I'm the same I have no idea whats 'normal' after 12 years on bc, on that I had none of this and no pmt or cramping just a really light bleed - this has been the worst month so far but maybe I'm feeling it more as generally feeling ill with a cold.

i went to the doctors last week as I had a fever and mentioned the painful cramps, turned out I had a UTI so I've had anti biotics to treat that and GP said if not improved by next week to go back and he will do examination and see if I need an ultrasound to check whats going on. I find it especially bad when I'm lying on my back.

Let us know how you get on xx

Jiss I feel you on the '..I have no idea what's normal after 12 years on bc..' part. This is my first cycle post BC. I've read that it can take up to 9 months before your cycle becomes normal (if you don't conceive in that time). All I know is that I doubt that I will ever go back onto bc even after the TTC journey. I quite like the idea of the natural FAM route.
