before getting pg i used to get the giggles occasionally and found it hard to stop.

Now i find it happening more often and i get tears streaming down my face. I was just on the phone to my mum and i was telling her something that happened at work. i was laughing so hard i nearly wet myself laughing  she said she was going to go if i couldnt stop and i couldnt so she hung up!!!!! :( :(

Its not fair, its like i cant control myself when im laughing now. is it a pregnancy thing do you think?

my tummy muscles ache now :(

I have had this happen a few times also.... mind you i use to get the giggle fits now and then when i was not pregnant and i use to laugh so much my cheeks felt like they was going to fall off!! And as you say your tummy hurts, the way to look at it at least you are laughing and not crying laughter can only be good for you :D

Bless your mum putting the phone down i would have rung her straight back if mine did that to me and carried on :rotfl:

i would text her to say sorry for being silly (feel like a fool  ) but she never looks at her phone

No need to feel like a fool hun, it's natural she should be happy your happy :D

Mine would have just laughed along with me i think and made me worse so maybe it was better she did that for your sake

Hi

aww hun dont feel like a fool its not your fault.
Paula my mom would do the same
Katrina

I have to say if I started laughing all my mum would be doing is laughing uncontrollably right back adding in "Oh Nicola" everytime she stopped for 2 seconds to catch enough breath to say it!! Don't feel silly, hormones change things and if your prone to giggles anyway I imagine it's even harder to control/stop etc. Laughter realease endorphines and endorphines are a chemical from the brain that make you feel good so don't deny yourself a fit of giggles for you and baby will end up enjoying the happy chemicals it produces.....

thanks ladies. i hope baby got something out of my giggling fit, except being violently jiggled about in my tum. apparently they like the sound of mummy's laughter :D

I'm like this quite often and not just when I'm pregnant although now it happens much easier. My brother was telling me where something was yesterday and said "Up above" then he paused so I started singing "The streets and houses, rainbow flying high" and had to curl up on the floor because I was laughing so much. You had to be there I suppose
