Hi ladies, looking for help on a couple of things please

Can anyone recommend a high spf suncream that won't turn clothing yellow? My little girl is wearing white as flower girl at our wedding and while I expect she'll get dirty I don't want her to be looking yellow and greasy straight away

Also, is there such a thing as an antibac cleaning wipe that CAN be flushed down the toilet? I much prefer to give the potty a good clean every time and wipes are great for sticky poos but it's a faff then having to go through to the kitchen bin. I know, first world problems right but it'd be much easier if I could flush as I don't want the bathroom bin to stink especially as it's so hot in my bathroom atm

Strictly speaking no wipes should be flushed - even the toilet ones that say you can flush them! I.e. The toilet ones technically do degrade but it takes such a long time they still have the potential to clog up the pipes. Personally I'd get a non rinse anti bac spray and wipe it up with toilet paper. Sorry not sure on the sun cream! x

I have found ASDA factor 50 the best (also has 5 stars) but only if applied before they get dressed and then let it dry. I then just reapply little and often and try to avoid the clothes- not ideal.

You're only meant to flush tissue down the loo. Even tampons are meant to be wrapped in tissue and put in the bin. True story- I watched an actual documentary on this once! :D

Thanks both of you

I'm pretty good at putting the wipes in the bin but every now and again I put one in the toilet without thinking about it. I'll get some spray and use that

And I'll try that suncream, thanks

I have honestly never flushed a wipe and discovered that my partner had flushed the 'odd few' and so had my toddler. It became apparent this was a slight exaggeration on his part when our drains blocked and we had poo floating around our garden. £70 emergency call out discovered an old coal hammer stuck in our main drain (Victorian) that had been gathering wipes any time someone had flushed one! It was a disaster!

I'd go with the anti bac spray and toilet paper too x

I always use Nivea suncream - usually the spray one for kids but have used the cream too and never had a problem with it discolouring clothes.

I would use the boots soltan once a day for kids as it lasts for 8 hours so you can apply and let dry before she is dressed and not have to worry about doing again during the day and ruining her dress. I've been using this on my 7 and 2 year old and it's been great, works a treat x

Thanks for the replies.

I'll try the boots cream I think. I've always used nivea but have found that it discolours around her neck

I use the tesco flushable wipes. They do break down quite quick as I have had them disintegrate in use! Been using them for several years , both the antibacterial cleaning wipes and the toddler bottom wipes as my son has issues and was told to use moist toilet tissues to help him. Only time I've had any issues is when he put a whole pack down and as I'm the bottom house on the hill and the nexus point of all street blockages (had a blockage in my garden from a house up the road due to wetwipes put down the loo) I'm pretty confident touch wood that no issues have been caused x
