I have just completed a payroll degree and statutory rules are maternity leave can only be started early if you are off with a pregnancy related condition within 4 weeks of your expected week of confinement.

I should be finishing work this Friday but I will have to go in on Monday as I've not been able to build up the flexi time to take the day off. I have a hospital appointment in the morning so I will go in for 8am leave for hospital at 9:50 and I'm hoping my boss will allow me to go home straight after. Gonna ask her today and see what she says as I've got 2 hours built up so I could technically use that for after appointment and then work can give me the extra time like they've been giving me since last week. Finger crossed xx

I've been really struggling in work to walk but I've been very careful in not complaining about it and everyone who's asked me if I'm ok my answer has always been yes im fine thanks. Last thing I want is to be sent home but I think people are approaching my boss with their concern as she says to me everyday if I'm struggling I can leave earlier and I'm not chained to my desk till 2pm!
