im having on of them done for the first time on the 17th was really worried as i thought there might be something really wrong, but now ive read this its quite common, still pooing me pants though, does it hurt!!!!!!!!! how long does it take? oooo im so worried xx

Its just like a normal smear just a few swabs longer! Nothing to be afraid of! One of the swabs kinda scratched a bit and it was uncomfortable, but other than that it was fine!!
Seriously, just relax babe! Nothing to worry about! Hope alls well! xxx

My only good thing is a gorgeous consultant named Mr Pepper

I've had a few colposcopies now and the cells burnt away but luckily now I've been referred back to doc's.

Still have to have 6 monthly smears but normality can return!

I was always concerned that it might effect my chances of being pregnant but I have had a pregnancy since the cells were removed so guess not!

so if cells not removed can it reduce fertility?

I wouldn't have thought so, besides if the colposcopy found abnormal cells then they would be removed anyway.

Wouldn't worry too much, happens to heaps of women!

No pictures at my hospital....
got one of those mobile things on the celing, thats it!
And no gorgeous consultant...
but the nurses are always nice and chatty!!!
