as some of you may know I am going to scotkand next week and brugge in a couple of weeks and I have a travel system which is great but very bulky!! I was wondering if anyone can reccomend a lightweight stroller suitable from birth that will fit nicely into the car and is easy to put up and down and of course looks marvellous!! Only the best for my dude!! Dionne, aren't you the buggy queen?

I've got this, Dionne has one too I think. It's a mamas and papas Pulse.

I love it it's tough but really light and has a carry handle which is really useful. It also has a mesh part on the seat so they don't get hot and sweaty.

ooh, I'm off to check the mamas and papas website!! Nice o know they won't get hot and sweaty as it is going to be really hot in bruge!

I have the pulse buggy in black i love it
It lies really flat too

Mamas and papa's do nice cosy toes and summer sets too :)

It looks great! Certainly one of the nicest and very reasonable too!

i am after a small lightweight buggy too for my holiday next week. thanks for starting the thread off missac!!

i have one already but it has no leg rest on it so i hate using it for rachael coz her little legs dangle down :(

The pulse doesn't have a foot rest as such but you can flip the leg part up so they either have their legs pointing straight forward or pointing down.

Here's a pic of it lying down with the leg rest up

Blimey....check me out, anyone would think I was the more informative forum member or something ;)

this is great, I love being able to come on here, it is nice to be able to go and buy something knowing it has been reccommended by mums rather than companies!!

So Budge, what are you going to go for!?

Budge I think your LO is over 6months? Is that right? If so I would reccommend taking a look at the Quinny Zap

It folds really small, is very light and very maneouvarable (sp?). If you want to hang bags etc from it then it is no good but if you don't it is fantastic.[/url]

i hate those quinny zapps! to me they look dangerous and unstable. i don't like three wheelers at all. My friend has one thought and she loves it.

i want one that had a leg rest so when shes asleep she can be comfy. I think im going to loook in my local advertiser on wednesday and see if i can get one second hand.

what you going for missac?

I'm still not sure!! I am going to go to kiddiecare and mamas and papas on saturday to have a look! Has anyone seen the new lulu guinness one?! A designer stroller!! Bit girly for Teej though!

It might be just me but when I see a toddler in a quinney zap they look really squashed in there.. the seat looks really small.

yeah i think that too. and they are so ugly

Depends how you are going to use it. As I said before if you want to hang any bags of it, I wouldn't go for the Zap. I can't comment on how it will be as she grows bigger, but TBH I don't think she will want to use a pushchair once she is 2 anyway. She is desperate to stand and walk now, though she can't quite manage it unaided yet, it won't be long.
