How you doing today chick,
hope you got there okay and attended to.

Hiya, thanks for asking about me...

I went to the hospital this morning, after a relaly bad night of bleeding and clotting, I went for a scan after the midwie spoke to me, I really wasent expecting a week later and after all that bleeding for the sac still to be there, but it was...and alot smaller, they sai dit was closing in on itself, and had moved down near the womb exit, so was on its way.

I just cried and cried...I was taken into a wee room, and the senior consultant came and examined me with one of those speculum things that opens you up..bah! It was agony, he was clearing all the blockages from my cervix, it was agony what he was doing.

The said that things seem to be "coming along nicely natrally" and wouldent go down the route of D&C yet, and the risks that, that poses, I said I was offered one last tuesday, why cant you give me one now??? He said if yoru still like like next tuesday, we may operate, I was like WTF??

So, I am home anyway, been in bed all day in absolute agony! earlier on I thought I was gonna die of the pain, that has settled just now and the blood has stopped, but im still worried cos that means that everything is still in there.

:(

Im thinking that the pain could have been the sac coming out through the cervix. I dont know for sure but I remember that day of pain that was like flippin unbearable.

I cant believe they wouldnt give you the d&c. What consultant was it?

Keep on at them, they arent very forthcoming i feel.

Paul says his name was something like doctor Haman, He was quite short and possibly Arainian or Arabic, I cant remember his name at all...I dont know why the offered me a D&C on tuesday, and not today, they said if the sac and everything is still there when they re-scan me on Tuesday, they will do a D&C then...I have taken loads of painkillers today and even managed to eat dinner tonight, the pain has subsided alot, so im hoping that everything came away after the internal they gave me.

Lina, i really hope that everything has calmed down for you today hun. And the pain isn't has bad.
If it does get any worse i would demand a d&c, i feel that the hospitals are only to quick to send you home at this distressing time, when al you want is the nightmare to be over.

i am so sorry you are going through this  as if a loss isnt bad enough there are bloody crap drs who make it worse. If you want a d&c they must give you one, i would phone them or get your dh to phone them there is a policy in place in the nhs that a woman has the right to choose the way in which her m/c is managed, its your choice not theirs. this makes me so mad you shouldnt have to go through this physical pain.

Sorry for your loss and that you're having to go through all this. Look after yourself.

Yoo poor poor poor thing, i really do feel for you hun, and it sucks that the docs didnt seem much use, typical and in this day and age...

Maybe speak with your doc with regards to d and c, plenty of women have them and they have not had problems/..

You'e deffo in my prayers...

xxx

Hi girls....well things went a bit crazy, I was taken into hospital the other night, think it was monday, I was rushed in at 2am, screaming in pain, turns out I was hemoraging (sp) I was taken straight up to the ward and admitted, I was given 2 shots of morphine overnight and volterol. Tuesday I was scanned, sac and everything all stil there and massive amounts of blood at 1pm I was operated on, they gave me a D&C and a general anesthetic.

I am back home and feeling physically ALOT better, that pain was awful, OMG! Its been horrendous! OK, im still abit tender but I am just glad not to be in that terrible pain anymore!

 glad the pain is better now, i am so annoyed with the bloody nhs, if they had given you a d&c like you asked you wouldnt have gone through that. Well at least your on the road to recovery

Thanks, yeah am feeling much better...physically anyway, The only thing im worried about it, after the anesthetic just as I was ready to go home they gave me 4 of these antibiotics to take in a row..and about 15 mins after, I vomited my guts up...so im thinking they wouldent have worked?

Maybe get in touch and let them know? Its mainly for prevention of infection but you should be ok...

xx

So so sorry you had to go through that, as the others have said you should have been given a d & c as soon as you asked for it!

I'm glad your feeling better physically but I think the emotional healing will take time for us all.

Might be worth ringing them in the morning about the antibiotics as you don't want to get an infection (I'm sure you won't but better safe than sorry). Take care of yourself

I am so sorry you have had to go through this on top of everything else.
well done for not hitting the doctor i persoanly would have lamped him one .
I am very very angry on your behalf hon stupid doctor :x

you can finaly move on grieve proplerly.
My thought our with you
