Lh to fsh high

Just got a call back from the doctor and my Lh result is 17.4 and fsh was 5.5 they said it was high. Does anyone know anything about these figures x

High lh is often a sign of pco/pcos. What cycle day? Other reason for high lh is impending ovulation.

I don't know much about fsh other than low is good (ie under 10 for fertility).

It was cd55 when they took the bloods. She said the ratio is 3:1 which is in line with pcos but my testerone was good. Have day 21 bloods on Friday to confirm ovulation altho doctor thinks it is unlikely x

I don't have raised lh or raised testosterone but I do have pcos! It comes in many forms. Have you had day 3 bloods done?

No she didn’t mention day 3 bloods. I have day 21 bloods this Friday and then see go next week to talk over results and next steps she said. Isn’t it so weird how everyone is different. I have no symptoms of pcos except very irregular af x

It's best to ask them to repeat the hormone profile bloods early in the cycle, preferably before day 5-usually day 3. It will give a clearer view. Ask them to add oestrodial on too and prolactin to get a clearer picture.
I know it's hard when cycles are long or irregular though, I hope your bloods do show ovulation for you x

Thanks lisey. Does that mean my bloods might be a bit off that late? I was spotting the day I done them and af started the next day x

Hormone profile bloods don't mean much in terms of fertility unless they are done early in cycle from my understanding. I had all of mine done on day 21 (when I was not aware of it all) and all came back normal and great. A year later I requested they be done early as had read the importance of it and they were not so good and they were the accurate reflection of what was going on.
Are you early enough in cycle still to get them done this cycle or will you sure to wait until next cycle? X

What lisey said, I would ask for them to be done again on day 3 of your next cycle. I also have irregular cycles and getting bloods on the correct days is a nightmare. Good luck
