could anyone tell me what leicester is like for night life as sil lives there and im stopping the night friday and hitting a few pubs,going to see how my temps go first so i can see wether to drink or not. are the pubs any good and is there a decent karaoke on a friday night

Dunno. I live there, but don't do town!!

Seriously, I live about 3 miles outside the centre, and we have 4 great local pubs, so I never feel the need to venture into the city. I don't think many town pubs do Karaoke, it's normally a local thing. Where in Leicester are you planning on going out?

sil lives in new-parks so really have no idea,jsut dont fancy being dragged into a club with heavy dance

My ex lives in Leicester-Blackbird Av 5 mins from city centre- i never really rated the nite life, they have a club called creation which was good, and not to forget Zanzi Bar! There are a couple of good pubs tho! not sure on karaoke tho hun.

That's a normal night in New Parks actually! You definitely need to talk your SIL into taking you somewhere away from there LouLou! Sorry, I'm probably being a snob, but I would never walk round New Parks at night, and wouldn't even consider going to a pub there. Hopefully your SIL will live on the edge of the area as some of it is nice, but the majority is a bit like Beiruit!
