Last holiday ideas/suggestions??

Hi all

I’m trying to look for a holiday for OH and me in August. It will be our last holiday just the two of us and our last before he goes away to Afghanistan for 6 months. I’m trying to find something not too far away, maybe France or somewhere in Europe we could drive to – maybe a cottage near the beach or with a pool.
I know this isn’t a travel agent but has anyone been anywhere nice they can recommend or any ideas? We haven’t got loads to spend but want something to remember!
