Lara update ..

Saw a consultant at hospital on Monday who thinks that Laras blood in nappies may be caused by an intolerance to cows milk protein - which means most formulas and possibly breastmilk too [although more diluted as digested so not so problematic] could also be a reason for her slow weight gain too...

anyway I have stopped breast feeding [and in agony!] and she is now on Nutramigen formula and supposedly we should see no blood within a few weeks - if not we willhave to take her back and have a biopsy done to see what really is causing the bleeding.

It is all a bit too much for me.. I just want it sorted and her to be ok.

And she still seems to have the thrush problems I am just so anxious for her to be healthy and happy again. she has such a nasty rash all over her girly bits and bottom.. not sure if it is thrush or something worse.. and she is still on antibiotics for the UTI.... poor little girl spends so much time in and out of docs these days and I just spend all my time worrying and crying about it all.. being a mum is so tough when they are poorly.

I'm sure you should see the improvement soon like the consultant said,keep us informed about little Lara,and let us know how you are getting on too.

Im so sorry your little one is having these problems hun. I really hope this new formula sorts things out for you with her weight gain.

If the rash isnt getting any better maybe she needs some different cream to treat it?
