Basically I get palpitations all the time. I was on cardicor but was taken off it when I became pregnant. Obviously palps came back with a vengeance and today the doctor prescribed me trandate (labetalol). He said it is safe and is commonly used for high blood pressure in pregnancy. Thing is I read the leaflet andnow I'm terrified to take it. Has anyone been in this for palps or high blood pressure? I prob should add my blood pressure is fine it is just for palpitations. :)

I took it in my last pregnacy and no problems xx

I don't know if this reassures you at all but I'm a childrens nurse and work in cardiac, we regularly give Labetalol to babies. I'm sure it would then be fine in pregnancy xx

thanks ladies! that is reassuring. I think i'm just afraid that my BP will drop and I will faint. silly I know but I do not want to have any falls or bumps. I still have not taken any yet but my last few days have been good. have not had much palps. so I will wait until I have a bad day and will probably end up taking one then. doctor told me to just take them as needed anyway. xx
