and anyone else i was pregnant with

OMG our babies are nearly ONE YEAR OLD!!!    :cheer:

what we all doing for birthdays? we got her birthday week off but not sure exactly what to do yet, we want parties but no set plans. i need ideas!! and pressies too, can i pick y'all brains?

Time flies eh?

We are taking Maia to the zoo on her birthday itself and then a week later we are holding a joint party with my NHS antenatal group (there will be 80 adults and 27 children under 5! )

Should be fun! :)

OMG Trix! cant believe your baba's are nearly 1 already! i can remember getting the txt saying you had had her - i was doing a car boot with my mum and so had to txt Jo to write on here!! :cheer:

hannahs birthday was last week ansd we didnt do too much.. we took her to the park for the whole afternoon. (first time she'd ever been on a swing etc)

Presents we/family got her:
Her own swing for in the garden (nanas house garden)
a toy car that she sits on and we can push//stear her around)
lots of clothes
Duvet and pillow (cot bed size)
in the night garden bed covers
pink heart bedcovers
plastic toy house with shapes etc.
i painted a life size upsie dazey on her bedroom wall. (im well proud of that! lol)

errrm... oh she got a piggy bank as well.

She had some smartie cake, balloons and party poppers. (wchich she hated) and a few kids (from our road) came in and plyed with her (she loves other kids)
we regreted giving her choclate tho - be warned, i think it was just over stimulation etc cos she got up at 11pm (when me and OH were just going to bed) and stayed wide awake till 5am!!!)

I cant believe they are one already (well nearly!) Our plan is to have a huge picnic at this park we love visiting, we'll tell all our family (as we have loads, and a very small house), then hopefully they will meet us there with their own picnics, the older kids can play ball games, and Freya can play on the swings and see the ducks, (which she adores!) We have bought her a smart trike http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B000W34PQA (a pink one), and will be getting her some new books, I want to start collecting the 'happy street' bits from the early learning centre too.She really loves dolls, and having three girls in the house there are lots around, she picks them up, gives them a hug and a kiss then tries to give it her dummy, I am trying to find a buggy thats a good height for her, but fairly sturdy, but havnt had much luck. I wanted something like those playskool ladybird ones but I havnt been able to find one.
Thats about it really, relatives who want to give her a gift but not sure what, I have asked for clothes or shoe vouchers, I think they will be most helpful in the coming year!!!

I know, I'm like this ---->   :cheer: :(

I haven't even started planning anything yet, I guess I'm trying to pretend it's not happening

I know what presents I want for him - a trike that they can use with the parents handle then as they get older they can use it themselves. I also want some shape sorting toys cos his new favourite thing is putting things inside other things :? Maybe a few books and stuff. No doubt he'll be spoilt by the Grandparents anyway

As for a party, we're not having one really. I might get him some balloons and a cake and just have a small family tea cos that's what we did with Josh but I don't want to make too much fuss cos he'll only get overwhelmed.

I think I'm gonna cry now, where has the last year gone?!?!
